Cooking with colour
Flicking though the pages of Australian 'House and Garden' this cool coastal kitchen immediately caught my eye. I love the confident use of colour and the burst of summer freshness that this kitchen exudes. Both the colour palette and the materials used reference back to an old fashioned beach house but it has been given an up-to-date, modern twist. Dulux 'Sage Monica' has been used for the accent colour, offest with white joinery, white stone benchtops and a white tiled splashback ~ this ensures that the colour palette is crisp and clean and not overdone. The shaker doors with the grooves also helps to give this kitchen a relaxed coastal, feel and a point of difference. I am also lusting after these gorgeous retro appliances from Smeg ~ there are just too many pretty, pastel shades to pick from!
