Loving the confident use of colour in this coastal retreat.

The interior of this beautiful holiday home in Cadiz, Spain, is designed by Marta de la Rica. The home was built by architect Valentin de Madariaga. You can see the Moroccan influences in his design. The majority of the interior and exterior colour is white but the use of vibrant colours throughout the home gives it energy, life and a sense of whimsy. The accessories and the accent colors combine to create a relaxed Mediterranean vibe.

Loving this pretty, coastal retreat.

When Constance and Dorian bought this house near Biarritz, France, in 2006 it was in ruin. There were only three walls left and an extensive renovation, which lasted about eight years, was necessary to turn the 1940′s house into a warm and cosy family home. Constance drew inspiration from the white houses in Greece. Rattan accessories, light wood and sheepskins give the decor a Scandinavian look and feel. The pastel accent colors give a feminine touch. Just lovely!

A stylish boutique hotel catches my eye.

Santorini is high on my list of places to re-visit. I have been to this beautiful Greek island before but that was in the 1990's when I was island hopping with my girlfriends. It will be hard to choose accommodation as the island has some stunning hotels. The Sophia Caldera Suites is one of them. It offers beautiful, spacious, luxury hotel suites. This romantic boutique property finds a happy balance between tradional architecture and modern amenities. It has individually styled suites and rooms with the infamous Caldera sunset view. The building was reconstructed and renovated during 2015. The original manor houses were built more than 150 years ago by a Turkish businessman who was in love with the island. The retreat itself is nestled in the heart of the colorful volcanic rocks. All 13 individually designed rooms are stylish and beautiful decorated with an eye for detail. I would certainly feel at home here!

A stylish boutique hotel in the Greek Islands

I have featured the San Giorgio hotel before but this hotel on Mykonos, Greece, is too gorgeous not to be featured again.. True, authentic, simple – the hotel’s interior is a collection of eclectic treasures and organic materials. Every piece of furniture is handpicked, has its spirit of simplicity and the power of craftsmanship. Just how I like it!

Mediterranean Bliss

Today is all about Mediterranean outdoor areas. Blue sea, cosy shaded sitting areas, bright pink bougainvillea flowers and al fresco dining … I love these kind of outdoor spaces! Be inspired by these gorgeous images and create a Mediterranean oasis in your own back yard!
