Loving the subdued palette in this relaxed, coastal retreat.

This beautiful home in a color palette of grey and white with some hints of color is designed by Charleston-based interior designer Cortney Bishop. Cortney’s design vision runs the gamut of style and structure, balancing creativity, comfort, and functionality with a dose of modern flair. She attributes her innate ability to mix patterns and hues to her love for travel, art, fashion, and music. I love the extra wide limewashed floorboardrs, the wall panelling and the concrete finished fireplace.

An art collection evolves over time.

This airy art-filled house owned by Leanne Citrone and her husband, is a testament to the art of decorating a house around an art collection, and not the other way around. The couple started collecting art slowly, starting with a beach scene by Massimo Vitali, and seeked the help of designer Lauren Soloff to bring their collection together in a coherent manner. The rooms were kept neutral: with lost of natural colors and textures: ivory linen, jute, tan leather, sheepskin, organic wood. This allowed the art to truly stand out. Each piece in the house was chosen carefully and as such, the design evolved organically over a period of years.

A Salt Lake City bungalow gets a Cape Cod transformation.

Though this house is nowhere near an ocean or a beach, it certainly posseses a coastal feel and has been decorated with a good dose of savvy beach house flair. The cedar shingles, nautical sconces, stripes, wicker pendants, low maintenance leather couches, jute rugs and cowhides all combine to give this house a nautical air. The house borrows aesthetics from coast-to-coast — giving it a boho-preppy, coastal look. That tan sofa looks like a very comfy place to while away an afternoon with a good book!

Chistmas In Teal

0 Edit Artikel

Loving this Christmas inspiration in teal.

This relaxed but stylish coastal theme is right up my alley!

Everything about this setting is just perfect.
from the chic teal, silver and white decorations to the beautiful table setting.
Every detail has been perfectly considered and not a thing is out of place.
Nothing beats a real tree in my opinion.
I love the smell and the ritual of heading off to the Christmas tree farm to select the perfect tree.
They are always a bit of a hassle,
getting them straight, keeping the water up to them and getting rid of them after Christmas,
but it's all well worth the effort!
Even if mine did fall over twice while trying to decorate it!!!
I also love all the natural elements in this scene, the wreaths over the fireplace,
the fresh floral mantel decorations,
even the pendant hanging over the dining table is adorned.
Ten out of ten for this first class setting from Monika Hibbs.
