Stripes are hot right now ~ especially in black and white. 

And not just in fashion but for interiors as well. They are simple, bold and add a sense of playfulness to a room or your wardrobe. Stripes are a great summer staple and a perfect with black, white or neutrals. They also work well with a pop of bright colour.

Hamptons Style with a Touch of Green

 

Give your wardrobe and house a spring makeover.

Start by giving the house a spring clean from top to toe,
then fertilise lawns, weed, prune and mow.
Clean the pool, wash down the exterior of your house,
sweep and hose paths and driveways, then clean the windows.
Give your wardrobe an overhaul, wash the dog,
fling open the windows, fill the house with fresh flowers and greenery ....
and you'll all be looking your best for Spring!!!

Black, White & Rustic

 

 

Black and white with natural details.

Black and white Scandinavian interiors are right in vogue at the moment.

To prevent them from looking too stark or cold

add in some natural wood tones to give the scheme some warmth.

Incorporate some vintage pieces or recycled floorboards

or rustic furniture to add a little charm and character.

Black & White Style

Some favorite things that I found this week in black and white. Enjoy!

Today I'm loving black and white - especially in bold patterns, geometrics and stripes.

The current 'black and white' trend may be the flavour of the month but it is hardly ‘new'. Black and white is an age old classic colour combination that never goes out of fashion. This season we are seeing it enjoying popularity in both interiors, fashion and homewares. Black and white patterned tiles keep popping up on my radar as do black, grey and white geometric homewares. Graphic patterns and stripes add a sense of playfulness to this monochromatic colour scheme.
