Mediterranean Vacation Style

I am dying tor a long holiday.

It's been literally ages since I have had a decent holiday.

Buying a new house and renovating it from the ground up is a financial killer.

Then running your own business means I find it impossible to get away, 

even if I could afford it!!

The thing about blogging is in takes me to beautiful places

and it's a little mental escape without costing a penny!

So today I'm dreaming of Italy and

romantic restaurants, local vino, fruity gelatis,

sorbet coloured villas and pretty fishing boats bobbing on azure waters.

It's sunny and the air is ringing with laughter,

teenagers race past on scooters, everyone is suntanning on the beach

 and my holiday wardrobe is full of bright colours, stripes and bold prints.

What a beautiful place to escape to!

Retro Revival

Mid Century Modern

I was born in the sixties and grew up with furniture like this
so it makes me laugh to seeing it all come back into fashion.
I hate thinking that I could possibly be that old!!!
Furniture stores are full of sixties and mid century pieces this season.
I have just finished a renovation project on a sixties beach house
 so when it came to picking a style and finding pieces to furnish it with
~ it was apiece of cake!
 Our timing could not have been better.
It's a great style for a beach house as you can pick up these pieces
for bargain prices at garage sales, flea markets or on ebay.
This style can also be mixed back with Scandinavian style pieces to create
a new twist on this classic look.
